The Quay 3G features a variety of pitches, but the centrepiece of the facility is the full size 11 a side pitch. The pitch measures 100m long by 62m wide and features full size goals which can easily be moved into place as required. The pitch features a 3m run-off around all sides to ensure player safety at all times.
The final piece in the puzzle at The Quay 3G is three seven a side pitches. The pitches are separated by nets which span the full width of the 11 a side pitch allowing for three separate games to take place at once during competitions.
The half a million pound facility has been funded via the Football Association of Wales, gap Connah's Quay Nomads and an investment from north Wales based recruitment firm, gap personnel. gap Connah’s Quay Nomads FC manage the facility between 5pm and 10pm from Monday to Friday and all weekend making it available to local clubs, however due to the location of the facility on Connah’s Quay High School, this allows pupils in years 7-14 to use the fantastic facility during school time.
